it was very interesting to watch the trailer for this church. My grandparents were members of this church for as long as I can remember. I remember long walks to church from my grandparents' home for Sunday services as well as other activities throughout the week when I would visit in the summers. God bless this progress of the Church and the progress of the film. Please keep us posted when the film is released. I look forward to seeing it and sharing it with family and friends.

Cordially,
Saundra Harvey (grandaughter of Minnie and Robert Harvey)

It's going to be a classic Ernie. I can't wait to see it all.
I'm also licking my chops at the thought of tasting this fine BBQ. Now it's on my bucket list.
Keep us posted on the progress. Thanks, R

Dude!

Awesome little doc! Can't wait to see the whole shebang. Also, you must tell me next time I see you (or I will ask you if I see you before you see this) how to get to New Hope. I plan on taking the fam there for lunch some time.

Peace.

I LOVE this Ernie!!! You have such a gift! I don't know whether to stand up and sing on my church pew or pull up to a plate of bbq. In both cases, I'm hungry for more!!!
xoxo

Love it, Ernie...can't wait to see the rest of the story. My wife doesn't like to fly so every year we drive to FL to visit my in-laws on the Gulf Coast. There's a secondary route that runs from outside of Jacksonville down to Gainesville. It doesn't save a lot of time but it cuts about 50 miles out of the trip and we take it much to my wife's yearly protest. Why? Because it runs through great little small towns like you describe and it just does my heart good. Churches, bbq joints, roadside farm stands, biker bars. etc. There's some poverty too and I'm not romancing that, but there's something here that always warms me before I enter the other Florida. I may be a Yankee but I get this. This looks great too btw, I love the simple but beautiful way you have framed the interviews. Please send an update when you're done.

Ernie, What a wonderfu story. I too am a avid fan of back country Florida and avoid traveling by the interstate unless absolutely necessary. I would much rather meander through my beloved back roads and look for the next great little cafe, bbq or town left undiscovered during my years of travel. For almost one year, my daughter and I were the only white chicks at an all black church. What lessons in faith and family and joy we experienced while there. God has since moved us on, but Ernie, what I have found, is that your faith is there, like a little seed, and one day, you will be pleasantly surprised by the strength of it, the root that stabilizes you during tough times. I can't wait to see the film, Blessings and BBQ, can't be any better combination! Holli (By the way Nancy and Dan forwarded this to me, so the blessings are already begininning!)

Wow! Watching the trailer made us smile from ear to ear. You have a true gift for capturing the essence of your stars. This documentary gives believers as well as nonbelievers inspiration to move beyond our everyday worries and frustrations and to find happiness as we do our life's work, regardless of our limitations. We are eagerly awaiting the completed documentary. :-D

May we forward this trailer to our family & friends?
